I always liked the sights except they should have been made of metal.

The plastic sights are a problem doing one-handed reloads. If you only have one hand to change a mag and need to rack the slide, the only way to do this is run the slide along a holster, belt, boot sole, or similar. The plastic sights will rip off if you use them to cycle the slide.

It’s entirely possible to rack the slide by catching the breach or getting the front of the slide pressed against whatever object you’re using to cycle it, but this takes time and attention and is slower than using the sights.

Admittedly, this is a rare situation and there are work arounds, but it is a situation in which I’d prefer steel sights. I can’t really see any other reason to change the sights if they work for the shooter.
