This liberal (likes "The American Prospect", member of "Americans Against Trump Rallies") shares a 'funny' story about driving while talking on her cell phone - and then lying to a police officer to avoid a ticket. (Details at link.)
I don't do Fakebook,
I can’t see the story unless I sign up.
Not ready to sign up.
Maybe if work demanded it (not likely), but I personally don’t need it.
kiddin....i...think. Don't forget tip. Oh, that reminds me.

I got pulled over for talking on my cell phone while driving. I told the officer I was a doctor and was on an important call. He asked me for a medical ID which I didn’t have on me. So I googled myself and showed him. Thank God for cell phones!
A “hands-free” toast to the nice policeman who knew I was full of it but still let me go without giving me a ticket.
Link doesn’t work as I don’t use facebook.. Could you do a screen capture and post it on imgur.com?
ALL calls are important to the Facefarque set. What is more important than them?
....nitwit should get caught in the middle of a protest and have her car rocked till the wheels come off the ground while she’s inside of it....see how many chuckles she gets out of that...
Fakebook?
NO THANKS!
“Facebook liberal thinks endangering lives is funny”
If you can’t talk on the phone and drive at the same time, you shouldn’t have a license.
I signed up at Fakebook several years ago. I was going to use it as a place to promote my Rock band and leave snippets of our music for people to hear.
I started getting hit with constant friend requests from people I didn’t know and it was maddening. It was cramming my inbox full of these requests. Well, I don’t think I lasted more than a week or two before I found a way to get rid of FB forever and it wasn’t that easy to flush them either.
Never again will I even visit that crap hole site.
What you described sounds a lot like my very brief dabbling with Scientology about 30 years ago. I go to one meeting, attracted by the ‘Test Your I.Q., for free!” sign.
Before two hours passed, I’m on the phone soliciting donations. After a little more time passes, I decide, ‘enough!’.
So I quietly walk out the door and went home. They pursued me by phone, mail, and unanswered knocks on the door for FOUR YEARS !!!! This was back when Rev. Sun Yung Moon was popular and had people in saffron robes collecting money around airports. That would’nt happen today for a variety of reasons.
The POS deleted her FB post. You should have grabbed a screenshot before you linked it, heh heh.
I really hate people who needlessly endanger lives of others, and people who lie to cops to avoid responsibility for their misdeeds.
The officer never should have let her off.
I really despise women.
“A total of 26,798 cellular-telephone calls were made during the 14-month study period.”
The only study I buy is the one that showed 99% of all studies are garbage.
A study can be designed and executed to yield absolutely any result one might desire.
Note here that the phone was “being used.” Does that include texting?
Reminds me of the drinking thing. If a man who’d had one beer was rear-ended at a stoplight by a sober man, they counted that as an alcohol-involved accident.
My position remains the same: if you can’t talk and drive at the same time, you shouldn’t have a license.
A study can be designed and executed to yield absolutely any result one might desire.
Stick you fingers deeper in your ears. Keep endangering lives.
“Stick you fingers deeper in your ears. Keep endangering lives.”
I’ve been driving for 51 years without an accident, including eighteen wheelers and deep-draft ships. Just because some people can’t talk and drive at the same time doesn’t mean that normal people can’t.
Have a good time with your iron-clad prejudice.
That would be the position of the one who says all uncongenial scientific research is "garbage".
