When exactly did this plan to crush Trump with Russia accusations begin?
We need a timeline of when Russia was first brought up in the campaign and who brought it up.

In January 2016 Chalupa told a senior DNC official that, when it came to Trump’s campaign, “I felt there was a Russia connection”. That “feeling” set in motion the Russia Narrative.
Chalupa said the embassy (the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington) also worked directly with reporters researching Trump, Manafort and Russia to point them in the right directions.
