Hip-Hop Reacts to President Trump Rescinding Offer for Stephen Curry to Visit the White House

President Donald Trump continues to prove that he might be one of the most petty politicians in history. After making controversial comments about the NFL, POTUS recently rescinded the offer for Steph Curry and the NBA champion, Golden State Warriors to visit the White House after Curry said he didn’t want to go in a recent interview.

Going on one of his seemingly weekly Twitter tirades, Trump snapped, “Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team.Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!”

LeBron James quickly came to the defense of his fellow NBA All-Star tweeting, “U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain’t going! So therefore ain’t no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!”

The Golden State organization released a statement in response to Trump’s Twitter fit: “We believe there is nothing more American than our citizens having the right to express themselves freely on matters important to them. We’re disappointed that we did not have an opportunity during this process to share our views or have open dialogue on issues impacting our communities that we felt would be important to raise,” the statement said. “In lieu of a visit to the White House, we have decided that we’ll constructively use our trip to the nation’s capital in February to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion — the values that we embrace as an organization.”

The hip-hop community has been quick to clown the reality show star turned president. Celebs from Chance The Rapper, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Talib Kweli and more have all hopped on social media to offer their thoughts on the situation.

See what hip-hop had to say about Trump taking back the White House visit offer from Golden State below.

“The hip-hop community has been quick to clown the reality show star turned president.”

First of all, the hip-hop community has beclowned themselves.

Second, Curry is finding out that he is not quite the warlord he presumed he is.

No, thanks. I think President Trump said it best...

"Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team."

If you're not honored, don't bother.

Isn’t it cultural appropriation for black people to be playing basketball anyway?

I mean, here we have a game invented completely by a white man, at ab all-white college in a northern state that had no black slaves.

If we’re going to be all politically correct in the true and enlightened spirit of our modern benighted race-obsessed age, shouldn’t black people be prohbited from playng basketball in the first place?

Since I agree with President Trump, I guess I won’t be getting my honorary hip hop participation award.

So tragic that anyone in our country looks to these clowns for their "thoughts" on important public issues. Few of these rappers were fit to graduate from Middle School.

The President said what had to be said because it was truthful and right. He never shrinks from the truth and he says what’s on his mind. A colloquial term to describe it is ‘guts.’ This sports’ episode epitomizes why Americans love the brash straight shooter. Throughout history, it was gutsy Americans that made this country what it is - the leader of the free world. Just like the other day at the U.N, he stood before most of the world leaders and without hesitation and with conviction in his voice, fired away.

A lot of people are invited to the white house.

But to think a college grad that never attended his classes, has nothing to do with problems here in the US as he eats from a silver spoon, and is so gullible, i.e. stupid, that he listens to people that have an agenda to destroy any chance of meeting in the middle to solve these problems, is not worth my time of day. And it is so obvious it is a set up, I can ask a couple of questions to reveal it:

Why didn’t these actions or problems happen during the eight years of the Obama administration? And as there was a familiar ear in the White House, why didn’t they attack him? He did nothing to change the same things Trump inherited. As a matter of fact, he made them worse by inciting unrest by the use of his mouth and his justice department. Professor Gates, Treyvon Martin, and others were his tools. Making bigger problems and not solving them was his effort. Where were you then Jackson, Sharpton, and you “great” athletes like Steve, La Bron, Colin, and all you sheep followers? 2008 to 2016 had the same problems. And they were mishandled by less solutions. If you are such a worldly people and such high thinkers, why didn’t you recognize it then and display your stunts to embarrass someone? Even yourself. If you’re not part of the answer, you’re part of the problem. And this type of display of activism is a big part.

celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion

What a racist cop out. This is always what they do when they have nothing else; head straight for the racist barn. Predictable as always.

As it’s been said before: Accusations of racism used to be the death-rattle of a losing argument. Now, it’s the first port of call.
