The Las Vegas shooter took ‘more than 10’ suitcases into his hotel suite in the days before the massacre

Wasn’t there some info uncovered yesterday to indicate that he was an avid anti-Trumper? Someone was showing him demonstrating at a rally in August in Reno?

If you look at the real money-maker strategy...he was buying houses and property in Florida...turning around two or three years later and making a profit. I would suspect that he was laundering money on the side with his plane operation and keeping a cut out of that. On paper, he was wealthy.

Stephen Paddock gambled more than $10,000 per day and in some cases amounts more than $20,000 and $30,000 at Las Vegas casinos ...

Lots of people gamble $10,000 in a day in video machines. They might win or lose (mostly lose) but the loss isn’t usually that much.

I see people win or lose (usually the case) $500 - $700 pretty regularly on video machines. They might burn through $10,000 in an day to do it but their net loss is usually a lot less than $10,000. Either way, I wouldn’t get much enjoyment out of that.

Why believe it?

I don't believe that angle for a second. A sheriff's deputy was shot in the leg as Paddock (or someone) fired through the door while LEOs were outside the door. They breached the door and shot him immediately. It's the more likely scenario.

It will take about five minutes to launch suits against the Mandalay Bay casino and hotel. The lawyers will argue that they failed in their fiduciary responsibility to monitor the people they invited on their premises and to participate in their business model.

“Exactly, he passed all the checks and that’s why they want these guns banned completely.”

Did he start buying a lot of ammo recently? Did he make lots of new purchases recently? What about the nitrate fertilizer in his car? Depending upon how much you buy, I thought that was monitored somewhat. I can't buy Sudafed without my license and an electronic record of the transaction.

If Mandalay Bay is a casino he frequented & gambled that much money, my guess is yes. Another article said he would often stay week or more at his favorite casinos, probably all comped as well.
I bet casino/hotel staff knew him too. A high roller at these casinos are treated very well. So, he probably flew under the radar because he was well known.

HOW DID HE GET PAST EVERYONE WITH ALL THE AMMO AND WEAPONS IN THE HOTEL??????

Everyone’s first question.

I have a second one. Why did he BOTHER to bring that arsenal up there? When 1-2 of those weapons would have sufficed? Even three. Why take the time and risk getting caught, bringing up a gun or two each hour over days??

Easy, in his suitcases. He was there for 5 days plenty of time to haul it all in. They don’t search your stuff at a hotel when you check in.

I’m still looking to see some kind of radical, leftist, ANTIFA connection here. I suspect it is there and hasn’t been revealed yet.

Wouldn’t room service think something was up?

Anyone who stays in hotels understands that the "Do not Disturb" sign hung on the door will keep all maid service out. I know people who leave it on all week and don't ever have maid service.

I agree. I don’t think the girlfriend was an accomplice per se, but I think she knew he wasn’t right in the head. She used him for cash. He sent money to her family in Indonesia, so she figured she could deal with his “eccentricities”

"You could check in, start using multiple entrances and roll suitcases in all day."

Not necessary. Every even slightly up-scale hotel I have stayed at has nice brass-toned wheeled luggage carts.

Load ANYTHING in suitcases, stack'em on the cart, slip the bellhop a fifty and give him the room number. He will happily take said cart to said room, remove the suitcases, and leave.

No multiple entrances needed.

Marilou was found and immediately it was said she had nothing to do with this. HOW DO THEY KNOW? Did she say to the Japanese FBI “I had no idea” and that was good enough???

Hillary was in Arkansas the day her Vince was found in Ft. Marcy. So??

“”with two platforms set up to shoot from.””

He apparently watched “Shooter” one too many times - taken from the book by Stephen Hunter - Point of Impact. At least, I think it was that movie where the assassin stacked up furniture in front of a window in a hotel room to rest his weapon on...

Bingo. Our destruction of the services available to the mentally ill, is what has gotten us into a lot of this mess. I worked on a unit with the criminally insane. It’s a simple as this, they need their medications. They will not take their medications unless they are supervised in an inpatient setting. They absolutely will not go into a clinic and pick them up.
