All of the weapons were purchased legally.

Another 19 firearms were found in Paddock’s Mesquite, Nevada home on October 2, 2017, along with explosives and several rounds of ammunition.

Paddock was not known to Las Vegas before his death. Paddock lived in a three-year-old, $396,000 two-bedroom home in the small retirement and golf community of Mesquite, Nevada, 80 miles north east of Las Vegas near the Arizona state border.

Stephen Paddock was an accountant for many years.[33] At one point, he was employed by a company that later became Lockheed Martin (1985 to 1988).

Paddock was a licensed hunter and private pilot, and owned an aircraft at Mesquite Metro Airport from 2007 to 2009. [4]

Stephen's brother Eric Paddock stated that he was a normal Las Vegas resident, eating burritos and gambling, and that he showed no political or religious affiliations. [ Gambling

On multiple occasions, Stephen Paddock gambled more than $10,000 per day and in some cases amounts more than $20,000 and $30,000 at Las Vegas casinos, according to an NBC News source who read the suspect's Multiple Currency Transaction Report (CTR) and a casino gaming executive.

Exactly; the shooter has been described as a millionaire, but (so far) there’s only one job on his work history, a three-year stint at Lockheed more than 30 years ago. I’m sure the defense contractor paid well back in the day (as they do now), but—so far—there’s nothing that suggests how he parlayed that single job into an investment portfolio that allowed him to buy multiple homes and aircraft. And gamble away significant sums during frequent visits to the Vegas casinos.

I keep waiting for gaming industry “sources” to report that Paddock had huge gambling debts that were threatening to wipe him out and that was a motive for the crime. Normally, that information leaks out fairly soon; the casinos know their best customers like the back of their hand, including how much they win and lose. Based on what we know so far, Paddock had enough dough to support a comfortable lifestyle—and throw away a lot of money at the casinos.

It’s still early in the investigation, but much of what he know about the shooter simply doesn’t add up (yet).

The property Paddock owned with his mother is apparently in Florida. He reportedly has a house down there, and another in Texas as well. That’s a lot of real estate for a retired accountant.

HOW DID HE GET PAST EVERYONE WITH ALL THE AMMO AND WEAPONS IN THE HOTEL??????

Guess you've never heard of the Vegas SHOT show, where manufacturers and dealers haul in all sorts of guns, including auto cannon, miniguns, heavy machine guns, water cooled machineguns through the lobby up to their room?

Trust me, they don't leave it in their car in the parking deck, and they don't leave them in the white trailers out front. They will either sleep in the trailer or bring them in, as FFL holders should do.

I agree. Perhaps it’s the beginning of their (antifa) so called overthrow coming Nov 4. If you think about it and it’s announced that he was antifa what would the conservatives do that have threatened to fight back? And.. what a better place to pick off potential enemies? A country western venue like the one in Nevada. No he didn’t go after a football game or the likes because think about the type of audience you’d have there? I would think nascar would be another target. Just thinking out loud while I was vacuuming.

Wasn’t there some info uncovered yesterday to indicate that he was an avid anti-Trumper? Someone was showing him demonstrating at a rally in August in Reno?

Some people made up some stuff, arguing that a blurry photo of some random old white guy was him.

I’m not buying it.

I find it odd that almost nothing “new” about this attack has been released by local or federal authorities in the last 18+ hours.

Like leaving out the party of a corrupt Senator, this is telling.

“Will the media ever explore the Marilou Danley connection?”

“Danley had worked as a high-limit hostess at the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa, according to her Linkedin profile. The Atlantis is also one of three Reno hotel-casinos that the Reno Gazette-Journal contacted about Paddock’s gambling habits.

“Atlantis has no current information regarding Stephen Paddock and Marilou Danley,” said spokeswoman Teresa Drew in an e-mailed statement. “Ms. Danley left employment with Atlantis several years ago.”

“We are cooperating with law enforcement and support their efforts to investigate and address this tragedy,” Drew said.

The Eldorado Reno Hotel & Casino and the Grand Sierra Resort did not comment on Paddock’s gambling habits as well.

“We will fully cooperate with law enforcement if there is anything that might be able to aid in this investigation,” said Mike Draper, Grand Sierra Resort spokesman. “All additional questions should be directed to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and other cooperating agencies. “

The Courier Mail, a newspaper in Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, Australia, reported Danley was born in the Philippines and is a citizen of Australia.

Danley was previously married to Geary Danley, who now lives in Arkansas. They married in Las Vegas in 1990, according to Washoe County records.

The former couple jointly filed for divorce on Feb. 25, 2015, and the divorce was finalized the next day.

During her divorce, Marilou Danley listed a downtown Reno unit at the Montage on Sierra Street as her address. At the time, the unit was owned by shooting suspect Stephen Paddock. Court records indicated that she started living at the address in August 2013. Paddock sold the condominium in December 2016.

Maybe he thought he was bringing the guns to the room to sell them. Arms dealer would explain his money, gambling to launder the money...

We need a Nevada freeper to go to this website to determine Paddock’s political affiliation. I’m being told by others that it is democrat.

My understanding is that he had rental properties. I had a friend who had more than 50 rental properties. Yes...he was a millionaire. Always kept a real low profile and you would never know it. You need two things to check this out...property records and tax returns.

Paddock's girl friend was try to tell people they're going to die is the key to this whole thing. She likely called the police which is why they let her off so quickly.

Because she knew about it before hand makes me partly believe Paddock wasn't the shooter(s.)
It's also likely how the security guard got shot. Her telling the hotel about what was taking place.
This was an ISIS attack.

Based on what we know about his work history, I think your theory is valid. A three-year stint at Lockheed back in the 80s. No record of him passing the CPA exam, or having his own accountancy practice. And so far, no record of him working as an accountant for other companies or organizations. In fact, the shooter seems to have been out of the workforce for the better part of 30 years, but still amassed a small fortune, enough to acquire multiple properties and two aircraft.

Another FReeper suggested Paddock may have used his planes (and skills as a pilot) to fly drugs into the country. Under that scenario, your theory about Paddock using gambling to launder the money makes perfect sense.

As this saga unfolds, I believe we’ll discover that Stephen Paddock was involved in all sorts of activities that will stun many Americans. And apparently, he flew completely beneath the radar (no pun intended) until he opened fire from his perch in the Mandalay Bay.

I don’t think anyone has heard a recording of the whole thing. A full auto AR15 would fire faster than what I heard. He didn’t need accuracy and at 500 yds accuracy is out the window anyway.

My Wild assed guess is they’ll find a brain tumor just like the Tower shooter in Austin Tx.
