Nearly a year ago, conservative Christians gambled on Donald Trump, a thrice-married Manhattan billionaire who bragged about sexual assault, ran casinos and used to support a woman’s right to abortion. The bet paid off.
This weekend, Trump became the first sitting president to address the Values Voters Summit, a yearly Washington symposium that brings together social conservative leaders and voters seeking “to preserve the bedrock values of traditional marriage, religious liberty, sanctity of life and limited government that make our nation strong”. He duly touted his administration’s progress in “returning moral clarity to our view of the world”.
“How times have changed,” Trump thundered across the cavernous Shoreham Hotel ballroom, lamenting the erosion of conservative values he said were the bedrock of America. “But you know what? Now they’re changing back again, just remember that.”
The crowd rose. Two years ago, Trump was booed at the same conference. Before the Republican primaries, he finished a distant fifth in the summit’s straw poll....

When has Trump ever bragged about sexual assault? All he did was tell the truth about Hollywood. He said if you had power in LA LA Land you could get away with groping. Now those actresses who protested Trump’s claim admit they allowed Weinstein to grope them. And they’re saying Harvey wasn’t the only one. They’re supporting Trump.
He should tweet “Thanks to all of Weinstein’s victims for having my back and confirming my statement.”

Since you write for a leftwing British newspaper that cares little for family values, traditional marriage, religious liberty and limited government in a country that also no longer supports these things, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU KNOW ABOUT TRUMP AND HIS SUPPORTERS?
Your country has a strong Marxist treasonous political component including some in the Labor Party and unions, as well as a serious Islamic extremist portion of the Moslem population who want to impose Sharia Law on Great Britain, have No-Go Zones for police, have no tolerance for Free Speech, and do not owe any loyalty to the country that has taken them in.
Don’t lecture us on “values”. You’ve been losing yours for many decades and the chances of you ever regaining them is slim to none.
At least here in America we are fighting to keep what we have and regain what we’ve lost.
And talking about losses, we kicked your Redcoat butts twice and then saved it twice, not the other way round. You might find this in a history book or two unless British law on free speech prohibits that too.
Putting the word “trance” in the title of that article is just another example of why Trump won.
The Left still doesn’t get it.
So many liberals just don’t get it. It was Trump or we were stuck with Hillary Clinton and the same old failing Dem policies. I did not vote for Trump in the primary, but once he won he had 100% of my support.
Trump is certainly far from a perfect President, but his policies are great! Now, if only Congress can find its collective backside with both hands, we may really get somewhere!

It’s interesting that the Guardian is slowly removing the ability to comment as it’s articles get more dishonest. Some of the articles are outright lies.
