The Georgia Department of Economic Development today said that Candor, a health-care coverage marketplace based in Rome, Ga. that specializes in pairing consumers with health plans, will create 675 jobs over five years in Floyd County. “a health-care coverage marketplace based in Rome, Ga. that specializes in pairing consumers with health plans”

So it’s a telemarketing center. And they’re going to invest 39 mil? That’s a lot of phones. What’s their anticipated commission on each customer ?

Of course, if the insurance companies would just lower their prices to what it really costs them to insure us, they wouldn’t need insurance ‘headhunters’ to recruit for them.

Rome, Ga. is the largest town in north west Georgia north of Atlanta. Rome has got lots of health care doctors, hospitals, and clinics. See the name Harbin. Rome has got a technical school and a junior college as well as two other colleges. It is sort of a smaller regional hub.
