NV Dist. 1 State Representative, Dina Tutus, gave an interview the next day that she’d spoken with Mandalay and he was “winning at the tables” and housekeeping hadn’t noticed anything unusual in his room. She hasn’t said one word about him since.
Of course the Mandalay casino would try to spin the facts. Not exactly great publicity to have it out there that one of their high-end clients had lost a fortune at their hotel. Perhaps he had a brief 'mini-streak' in recent days (just guessing) and that that was what they were referring to. But, over all, according to the sheriff's statements, which I believe were based on Paddock's actual account with that casino and/or others, he had indeed lost a great deal of money over the past two years or so.
