Since they FIRED Ito, Honda is back on track.
I drive a 1996 Accord. I replaced the engine. 280k miles and going strong. I could afford a new one but why?
Ping.
I had a 1984 Toyota 4x4 pickup, then an ‘94 and now still have a ‘2004 Tacoma, but I stopped right there. The next iteration was just too ugly and the latest is only a little better.
Never had a Honda Car, but all my dirtbikes are Honda’s, My XR650R is still the big dog offroad.
Camry > Accord.
The headlights and grill make it look like it is smiling.
My 2003 Accord has a very annoying habit of locking doors seemingly at random.
I get out of the car and close the driver door and my rear door is locked. Click to open and get out some of my stuff and close the door and try to open the driver door and it is locked. Open the trunk and close it and the doors lock.... Very frustrating and all according to Japans plan to get revenge for WW2.
There is an Acura RL for sale locally. It’s an up-badged AWD Accord. I may have to trade the truck for it. The truck is 2wd with no slip differential. And it is snowing.
I’m leery of turbo engines. From the longevity standpoint.
I know they are all the rage, just wondering if you wanted to keep a car 10+ years whether a turbo could make it.
One other question.
I remember when turbos first came out there was a warning about towing, that the turbo would be kicked in and burn up.
I had an Accord, ‘83. Great car, sold it to a relative . Had 200,000+ miles on it and I’m not sure it didn’t go beyond that.
I drive an 03 Acura TL that I completely redid with 189,000 miles that I bought as cheap transport to get back and forth to the mfg. plant 40 miles away, i’ll be looking for a newer one.
CVT’s suck so bad. Especially in underpowered cars like the Outback.
Now talk about ugly POS, let’s talk Prius. They should be called Passus. I pass a half dozen per day, and what’s with those new Tail Lights?
The car Jesus drove.
