All they have to do is cut down.

I am the oddball exception who gains weight on severe diets. Doctors are still trying to figure me out.

It could be a valid medical condition then. Maybe I should have said “most” overweight people. It seems there are always exceptions.

Sorry, not buying it. Matter just can’t magically appear from nothing. If someone is gaining weight it can only happen if they are putting more calories into their body than they are burning off through physical activity.

Severe diets slow down your metabolism so that your body thinks it’s starving and holds on to fat. This is no mystery at all, it’s purely hormonal. The same thing happens if you eat carbs and don’t get healthy fats. All calories are not equal.

Keep trying different tactics. Avoid sameness.
