It doesn’t explain one thing, though, as McConnell was down there attacking Moore mercilessly and running hit piece ads. If McConnell knew of these accusations, he would have dropped them prior to the primary to save Strange. No way Trump knew of the accusations. The WaPo timed them after the primary on purpose in my opinion. If they did them before, someone else would have won. Trump just had good instincts and realized Strange was not controversial, would vote with him the majority of the time, and would easily be palatable to Republicans who are conservative and more moderate. He’d have won in a landslide.
Well I dont know if he knew or not, Trump does seem to have a sense for that kind of thing. He for sure knew something, Moore was known as a loon for quite awhile really, even here in Ga we knew it...
But you are right Strange would have easily won... now I wonder just how smart Jones is. He is in a deep red state... he is either going to be a very conservative dem... or if he were really smart, switch parties and probably be there for life...
Okay because I firmly believed this was orchestrated by McConnell (and Rove, the Bush family). But you think they would have done it in the primary. However I don’t then know how to explain the knee jerk condemnation of a fellow Republican by McConnell, Cruz, Romney, McCain, ect... Why didn’t they give him the benefit of the doubt? Unless they planned this from the get go?
