Why? This should be prime time open committee hearings with a decent prosecutor doing the grilling and if not available, Torquemada may be brought back from the dead.
I agree that this testimony should be public, but I think the reason the committee opts for closed door testimony is because they want the witness to answer the questions instead of attempting to dodge them with the old “I’m sorry that information is classified, Congressman” answer that has been used and abused so many times.
