Famed-British singer Morrissey said last month that he would kill President Donald Trump “in the interest of humanity” if he had to. Now, he’s learning those words have consequences. What did he say?
Last month, Morrissey, whose real name is Steven Patrick Morrissey, was asked by German newspaper Der Spiegel if he would kill Trump at the “press of a button” if he had the opportunity. Special: Witness the story of the first Christmas through a whole new set of eyes
Morrissey said: “I would, for the safety of humanity. It has nothing to do with my personal opinion of his face or his family, but in the interest of humanity I would push.” What happened in response?
Morrissey told his fans in a YouTube video this week that those comments graced him with a visit from the Secret Service.
