Judge dismisses lawsuit against Trump over Emoluments Clause
The Hill ^ | 12/21/17 | Brett Samuels

A federal judge on Thursday dismissed a lawsuit from a liberal watchdog organization arguing President Trump is violating the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution by paying foreign governments.

Judge George Daniels dismissed the case on “lack of standing,” agreeing with Trump’s lawyers’ argument that the claims do not fall within the interests of the Emoluments Clause, and should be resolved through the “political process," according to the ruling.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a lawsuit earlier this year claiming that because Trump has not fully divested from his businesses, he is receiving “cash and favors from foreign governments, through guests and events at his hotels, leases in his buildings, and valuable real estate deals abroad.”

Liberals are throwing spaghetti at the wall, figuratively speaking, in the hopes that some sticks to Trump.

Liberals who a year ago had never heard of the emoluments clause, suddenly just knew that Trump was violating that part of the Constitution. Go figure.

...and note this judge is a BLACK person appointed by CLINTON. Obviously one would expect him to defer to the Left if there were any merit at all...but this suit must have been so insane that he couldn’t even stomach it.

Need some Rule 11 on these lunatics. Why should Trump or the US foot the legal bill?

But now comes the important part of the case where the plaintives go judge shopping to find a judge that will agree with their appeal.

Isn’t that the way the liberal/progressive/socialists/dimocrats operate? Have thousands of appeals when they lose; and the, on their first success declare the issue settled?
