As an owner of both a Glock 26 and a Glock 42 (very close in dimensions to the 43) I can tell you that the real world differences are vastly greater than the measurements would suggest.

Comparing them, I’d still prefer my Kimber Micro.

Timely post! Looking for a new CCW and am looking t the Glock 26 Gen 4.

I'm typically an HnK bigot however carrying an HnK USP9 isn't the easiest thing in the world .....

Nice piece.

Do you find the Single Action to be a problem with draw fire or do you carry cocked and locked. I am too frightened of my own clumsiness to carry with a 1911 variety.

I tend to carry a DA/SA so the first pull is long, but the subsequent ones are quick.

Going to have to go with the 26....in today's world of BLM/ANTIFA/ISIS, you have to have the capability to employ high STANDARD capacity magazines......so you can lay down fire as you retrieve your 870 or M4 "trunk monkey".

Weight in the magazine load is the biggest difference for ease of carry, IME.

I have both. The 43 is easier for CCW as it is thinner and does not print like the 26, though with a good jacket the 26 won’t print, either. The 26 has greater capacity, of course.

I shoot both of them very well.

My favorite Glock is the 19, and that is okay for CCW if the jacket is heavy enough. I only weigh 150 pounds so I am somewhat limited as to the size of the pistol I can comfortably carry.

I am a Glock fan, in case you can’t tell!

My old Webley .455 long-barrel can shoot a crook just as dead. And its looks are evil enough to scare a crook to death before I even pull the trigger.

"Glock" is the sound you make when you gag yourself while brushing your teeth.

If weight is a concern check out Liberty Ammunition. The .45 round weighs 78 grains and moves at about 1,900 fps. Cuts magazine weight substantially and packs a hell of a punch.

Jeeesus

Gotta be pretty bored to come up with this comparison

Basically same gun. Different magazine capacity

How about put them in ur hand and go with the one that feels better

This one is already at the eye roll level of the 9 mm . 45 debate

If you like your Kimber Micro, you can keep your Kimber Micro. I’ll keep the Sig P239. No Glock “Safe Action” for me.

I own both G43 and G26. Both are among the very best 9mm for CCW. In fact, despite its age, I can’t think of a single 9mm designed for carry that really “bests” the G26.

The G43 is significantly smaller in hand than the G26. The difference in weight with loaded magazines is notifiable. The biggest difference is that the G43 is more comfortable to carry IWB (inside waistband) than the G26. This will be important for smaller framed people, but you fatties out there may not notice.

I shoot better with the G26 although at personal defense ranges (e.g., 5 yards) there isn’t much of a difference.

I am impressed with the new HK VP9SK. This is a tad larger than the G26 but like all HKs, very nice. SIG makes a new version of P225 which offers a full-size grip but relatively thin profile.

I’ve IWB carried a G26 for many years. No question that ANY reduction in width would be greatly appreciated. Am hoping to acquire a G43 this year.
