I agree. I only recently read Moore had lost statewide elections. I think Trump either sensed something wrong with Moore or had been tipped off that there was dirt on him.
I think it mostly likely that he sensed it. If dirt was out there it would have been used in the primary.
I backed Moore, too, and then watched him on Hannity admit to dating teens. I never was comfortable defending that. Half the Trump supporters stayed home that day. Bad decision on their part, imho, but I would have voted Moore just to keep the seat.
Once again I agree with every word you posted. Had I been in Alabama, wild horses couldn’t have kept me from voting for Moore. But as you said, Trump’s supporters stayed home and we lost a seat. It’s such a shame.
So true...Trump doesn’t help nor friends like this...he was a late comer to the campaign anyway but in his own mind God’s greatest gift to all!
Has anyone mentioned the possibility that Trump and Bannon are playing good cop/bad cop.
Bannon is/was a very articulate spokesmen for economic nationalism. The Bannon - Trump feud is a costly and devestating turn of events.

Just think of all the crap that went on in the BO admin. Think of the tell all that could be written. Dems never turn on their own. I imagine they are threatened pretty heavily and this keeps them in line.
I don’t know why Leftists are so much more loyal than so-called conservatives. Trump did nothing to deserve this. The theory than Bannon has alcohol or drug issues is as as good as any. He really screwed up, and if it’s a substance abuse issue, he could use an intervention.
