When their oaths to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America, it's taken for granted that politicians are also tasked with protecting the life and liberty of those they represent. But when it comes to protecting the public from those who've entered the country illegally and subsequently committed crimes, too many our politicians believe that enforcement of our immigration laws is optional.
The problem is countless of Americans have been impacted by the presence of illegal aliens; many have had personal property stolen and they physical damages range from varying degrees of injury from drunk drivers, assault, rapes, even murder, yet elected officials wish to protect them over citizens.

That is exactly where the blame lies and where the outrage should be directed.

Nearly everyone I know has been directly harmed by an illegal Spanish speaking invader.

Id like to see them held personally liable for their actions or lack thereof also.

Couldn't agree more. And nothing would make me happier than to see a few "open-borders" mayors and/or governors do a perp walk. But I think that it's far more likely that, even if the DOJ decides to pursue charges, some court will issue an injunction and the matter will get kicked up to the SCOTUS. And it's likely that they, in turn, will rule that the DOJ can only prefer charges against someone who has affirmatively concealed an illegal from ICE. I don't think it's enough to simply refuse to comply with federal law.
That said, no one would be happier than me if I were proven wrong.

I, so wish this would happen. AT least arrest a few of them and deny bail. Watch the heads explode.

Somewhere and somehow, the message that the LAW APPLIES TO EVERYBODY, including Elected Officials, needs to be re-established. This nonsense has gone on long enough!
