If you go to the NY Public Library on 42nd you can see WTP in the basement/Children’s book section. Reading room restoration is beautiful, map room a must see. Staff not friendly, but the building is great.
Yes. My 1st grade teacher was a A.A. Milne enthusiast. Fond memories of her reading his books to us.
My favorite book as a child was a light lavender book with a collection of Winnie the Pooh stories and some of Milne’s poems. As an adult, I bought the books with all of his poems & still enjoy them. Since then, I have found a book containing the entire collection of stories/poems & have given it several times as presents to family/friends when they have their first child. Thanks for the post!
Just saw a new-ish movie on a flight called “Goodbye Christopher Robin”.
Pretty good depiction of how the stories came to be and what price that family paid for the success.
I highly recommend it.
