The fact that the "Bureau" feels that it needs "defending" by CNN is the biggest tell in the world.
The "Bureau" is unto themselves and should be abolished.

I take exception the part that says “protecting the Bureau”. Is that what the primary job for an FBI employee to be doing, is to protect the Bureau? Sounds like something from a mafia family.

The revolving door has to end. How is it right that the taxpayers may be paying an FBI pension, health care, etc. to this dude working at CNN?

Virtually every farewell function I've been at celebrates the departing person's accomplishments at the post he/she is leaving - not where they are going. They may get ribbed a little bit about the new situation, good career move, better location, etc. But it is supposed to be about that person's contributions, gee we'll miss you, etc. etc.
This? This is pure promotional material. What a fraud and POS.
