Does Mueller Indictment Mean Clinton Campaign Can Be Indicted for Chris Steele?

Special Counsel Robert Mueller indicted foreign citizens for trying to influence the American public about an election because those citizens did not register as a foreign agent nor record their financial expenditures to the Federal Elections Commission. By that theory, when will Mueller indict Christopher Steele, FusionGPS, PerkinsCoie, the DNC and the Clinton Campaign? Mueller’s indictment against 13 Russian trolls claimed their social media political activity was criminal because: they were foreign citizens; they tried to influence an election; and they neither registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act nor reported their funding to the Federal Elections Commission.

First, if Mueller’s theory is correct, three things make Steele a criminal: first, he is a foreign citizen; second, he tried to influence an election, which he received payments to do (including from the FBI itself); and third, he neither registered as a foreign agent nor listed his receipts and expenditures to the Federal Election Commission. Also, according to the FBI, along the way, Steele lied…a lot, while the dossier he disseminated contained its own lies based on bought-and-paid for smears from foreign sources reliant on rumors and innuendo

Seems to me that Mueller’s primary mission is to protect and defend Obama and the Clinton’s against any and all possibility of prosecution. He seems to take that quite seriously.

Good article. Nice summary.

A. Can they be indicted? Clearly yes.
B. Will they be indicted? Ha! You cannot touch the untouchables.

It would require DOJ to take their mission seriously to indict the real criminals.

Serious question. When did Mueller step down as FBI Director and become a Special Council?

Where is the Supreme Court? Where is Sessions? Are they all AWOL? Asleep at the wheel? Corrupted? Stupid? Being blackmailed? What’s going on?

Agreed.

My patience with Sessions and the DOJ is as thin as it can be.

If I were running a betting site, I’d give the odds of Hillary being indicted as 100-1 against.

If Mueller finds - and reveals - criminal activity in the Clinton organization, you can be sure some little guy will take the fall. And that will be it. Case closed.

What OBVIOUSLY needs to be opened up is possible Putin-Billary, Inc. collusion via the Steele dossier.

A special prosecutor needs to use the DIA and it’s covert teams (not the FBI or CIA), to look into possible behind the scenes help and cooperation from and with Putin in putting the Russian side of the Steele dossier together for Billary, Inc.

“...the odds of Hillary being indicted as 100-1 against.”

Definitely. She knows she’ll be protected, no matter what. If she had an inkling of bad things to come, she’d be cooling her heels in a non-extradition country (”vacation”) now.

What’s going on?

Supreme Court cannot do anything until a case is brought to them and they accept it.

Certainly nothing is going on that we can detect. The press is protecting the marxist Clinton cabal.

Is Trump urging action behind the scenes? I sure hope he and Sessions will surprise us. Maybe this midterm election summer is the time to show the public what the Dems did. Three months of disclosure of conspiracy and crimes would be spectacular.

“Clinton Campaign Can Be Indicted for Chris Steele?”.....

Who will be the one to do it and when will it happen? Hasn’t this “investigation” be going long enough for Mueller to turn his witch hunt in Clinton’s direction. I anticipate after speaking with the Russians, he will go off on another hunt, seeking anything close to Trump. It’s not going to end and has become a “career” for Mueller.

Scanning the morning "news" today, yesterday's indictments are summarized for the LIV's thusly:

"The Russians actually DID throw the election to Trump."

So, for Mueller and the rest of the Never-Trumpers...mission accomplished.

Mueller wasn’t appointed to take out HRC. He may not be able to do it, but his job is to take down DJT.

The article deliberately parallels Mueller indictment, but in doing so leaves out a big extra factor: based on his own claims, many of Steele’s sources are Russian government and intel officials.

This makes the Dossier a major vector for spreading Russian disinformation to influence the election. Whether Steele knew the info was false, or was an unwitting dupe, he solicited and aggressively promulgated Russian propaganda for the purpose of interfering in the 2016 presidential election. Steele made statements to Bruce Ohr that confirm his intent to prevent Trump from winning the election. That and Hillary’s cash were his motives. Hillary, her campaign, her DNC, Fusion GPS, Perkins Coie, and numerous others financed, directed, and/or participated in the conspiracy. This clearly falls under Mueller’s mandate.

It’s time he got busy.

I read the indictment in full.... What a joke. But as Mercutio said after being run though in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, "Tis enough, Twill serve."

Russian high School hijinks all around, to be played as some serious black-bag conspiracy against our country - though remedial and slipshod - like a poor man's Woody Allen comedy redux - it was announced from a podium by our highest authorities.

What it did - when juxtaposed against the recent spilled blood of our young - is paint a pathetic picture of how small we as a nation have become. Worse yet, there is no one to whom we can really address our grievance. Sans Trump, they all appear to be in on it.

Not until they figure out who’s going to fall on their sword for her. Someone always does for the Clintons.
