Since April 20, 1999, when 12 students and a teacher were gunned down at a high school in Colorado, I have covered most mass shootings in America in some capacity, and I have never seen anything like these Parkland kids. This one seems different—these young survivors are speaking out, and calling out the politicians who have done nothing for the last two decades.
When Columbine struck, I remember spending all afternoon and most of the first evening outside the school with students, and policy was the last thing on anyone’s mind. I was with them every day that week, and most of the next month, and gun control almost never came up.

The short answer is NO. a handful of liberal kids won’t change our constitution.

Children are being manipulated to direct their vengeance on the NRA and guns. Not on the system that school district had set up which failed to protect them.
In this facilities case, their security system should be brought to public scrutiny . Particularly of the policies employed. For starters this school has a so called “gun free zone”. It does have a parking lot officer who may be armed assigned to patrol the multi acre site in a golf cart , but bans guns from the rest of its internal security .
Because of these Ding Bat liberal policies it brings up another question. Just how safe and secure were those kids ? There’s a lot of krap that happens; Assaults, fights, thefts, books and items stolen, drugs passed around, teachers accosted, kids intimidated....
Examine records reporting how student vs student, and student vs teacher altercations, vandalism, and thefts, which are bound to occur were being dealt with.
Because in an educational unit this size it’s pretty clear their security system failed . In a secure system Cruz would have never gotten inside.
I wish them an exciting but short life when they grow up and get jobs going door to door collecting the guns.
Or do they expect others to do that for them? Is that what the Mexicans are really here for?

With all due respect, I dispute the writer’s claim that gun control never came up. I recall the media and entertainment industry elite plus students and parents almost immediately starting up the cries for more gun control following the murders in Littleton. What’s interesting now is that a survivor of that incident was recently elected to the Colorado state legislature on a pro gun, pro self defence platform. This all smells of Soros/Bloomberg/Hollywood elite money big time.
Trump just changed it for them, he conceded that they are right by banning bump stocks. The point isn’t what is banned, but the assumption made to justify the ban.
