TEAM USA Women's Hockey Wins GOLD!

YAY! :) This was the only event I've watched in full so far at the Olympics and it was SOOOOOOOOO WORTH IT!
Went to overtime and then they won in the shootout.

“So happy for the USA team!!” Same here. Was a great win. However, if we should peel the onion a bit we would find that the game was in reality an intramural game of Americans. Most of the “Canadians” are dual citizens and/or Canadians who grew up in the US and attended American schools, especially college. There were sixteen American colleges represented on the Canadian team. Example; University of Wisconsin had several UW players on each team. But, nevertheless, it was an exciting game to watch and extremely happy for the USA team 😊!!!

1 5 minute overtime in the regular season, if no one scores, it goes to a shoot-out. I looked for a source and couldn’t find a good link. Anyone is welcome to correct me.
In the post season, unlimited 20 minute periods where the game ends sudden death if one of the teams scores a goal.
