"The kids and adults will see this movie and think it was over the top and then will seek more information..."

Good luck with that. Most are too lazy to research the historical facts.

I recommend “The Inner Circle”, or “Stalin” w/Robert Duvall.

Sounds like an interesting movie which is going on my watchlist. I'd like to recommend Goodbye Lenin (2003) which has a lot of funny moments and actually is quite touching.

Did anyone recognize that Nellie Ohr, wife of DOJ official Bruce Ohr, plain jane spook Fuion GPS hire who collaborated with MI6 Christopher. Steele in writing the infamous “ dossier’ and otherwise plotting the takedown of the Presidency- is a historical “ revisionist’ with decided sympathies for STALIN? An academic who has spread her poison for 30 years?

It says a LOT about anyone who is an apologist for Stalin Mao or other historical monsters

The scariest thing about Stalin's death is that it was predicted by Archbishop Fulton Sheen on national TV about a week before it happened.

Venerable Fulton Sheen ~ “Stalin must one day meet his judgment!”

I remember the day we got the news. We danced in the streets in the old country.

I will check it out.

I always thought that Peter Ustinov would have made a good Stalin in a movie. Too bad he never played him. Chaim Topol would also have been good.

I also saw it, OUTSTANDING film, highly recommended. Should be required viewing for everyone, especially the communist, socialist loving snowflakes.

The film pulls no punches and describes exactly what it was like during the "good old", bad old days of Soviet Russia.

To answer the frequent question.

Yes it was in theaters recently, but now it is also online in both Amazon and iTunes.

I myself stole it in the internet, but now my son is coming home from school for the weekend and I make amends with buying it for him (because I want the film makers to make
money).

I just saw the film. I received the disk from Netflix. All the horror in the background can be hard on sensitive viewers. I appreciated it, as it was real and people should see that Communism was as bad as Nazism.

On a numerical basis, communism was much worse than Nazism. A good estimate has Stalin murdering twice as many people as Hitler, with Lenin not far behind Hitler.

The movie had its funny moments and it does a good job of depicting the somewhat irrational dynamics of committees. In this case, the committee decides life and death and other matters for millions of people.

The movie is very clever and well done. I’m glad I saw it and I think most freerepublic readers will like it too. I like anti-communist movies. Hollywood is extremely reluctant to make them. This movie had European producers. Many in the cast are older American actors. That’s your “Hollywood” contribution.
