Do LOTS of research on where to live in AZ as there ARE places you DON’T want to live.
Scottsdale, Chandler, Paradise Valley, Gilbert (bedroom community) and Fountain Hills are good places to start.

Tempe and most parts of Mesa are OK too ... Avoid the meth capitals of the Phoenix metro area like Buckeye Laveen (called latrine by locals) and parts of AJ (Apache Junction). Lived some years in Tempe and Chandler and LOVED it. Mesa was declared the most conservative city in America followed by Lake Havasu City which is also the hottest inhabited city in America (124 last summer) though some Bullhead city people may disagree with that. Oh and stay away from Van Buren and 32nd street at night unless you like Twink hookers
