Schwarzenegger to Sue Big Oil for ‘First Degree Murder’(WTH?)

AUSTIN, Texas — Arnold Schwarzenegger’s next mission: taking oil companies to court “for knowingly killing people all over the world.”

The former California governor and global environmental activist announced the move Sunday at a live recording of POLITICO’s Off Message podcast, recording here at the SXSW festival, revealing that he’s in talks with several private law firms and preparing a public push around the effort.

“This is no different from the smoking issue. The tobacco industry knew for years and years and years and decades, that smoking would kill people, would harm people and create cancer, and were hiding that fact from the people and denied it. Then eventually they were taken to court and had to pay hundreds of millions of dollars because of that,” Schwarzenegger said. “The oil companies knew from 1959 on, they did their own study that there would be global warming happening because of fossil fuels, and on top of it that it would be risky for people’s lives, that it would kill.”

ACCESSORY TO MURDER.

Does this mean he will hang himself for driving a Hum Vee or pushing GM to build such a behemoth?

Maybe he’s trying to get back into politics. Or he’s trying to partner with Al Gore on some project.

I think these people have lost their brains.

He’s probably outraged that abortion kills babies by the millions, as well, right? Oh... I guess not.

Go back to Germany! And stop flying in jets and driving in cars, and do not use electricity generated by burning fossil fuels.

What a Moron. Big Oil has saved and extended billions of lives. I should not even have to explain that.

Trial lawyers go to school specifically to try to land this billion dollar redistribution.

It isn’t about life or damage. It’s about Far Left ideology. Smash the State.

...that smoking would kill people...

Looking for really stupid people for a jury who don’t see the difference between this and petroleum use.

I remember Jim Beam was sued in Seattle about 25 years ago because an alcoholic woman gave birth to a baby with fetal alcohol syndrome. I remember it well because I was on jury duty in King County Superior court at the time and the day the verdict was reached, a King 5 camera crew interviewed me at the bus stop and it ended up on the air. They asked me if I agreed with the verdict. I told them Jim Beam should counter sue for frivolous lawsuit.

Which is what this is.

BTW, the next day at the civil trial I was sitting on (malpractice) they excused the jury exept for me and asked if I was the guy on the 11:00 news and if it would affect my decision. I told them the two trials have no relation to each other. They kept me. And once both sides on my case rested, I told the jury, while we were deliberating, all about jury nullification. :-)
