Exactly! Between appointing Bolton and increasing military spending, Trump is sending a message to Iran, Russia and N Korea. This spending bill was all about re-building the military.

I’m sure you would have been much happier with Clinton.

What would have been the end game, overriding his veto? The real villain is Ryan and his corrupt congressional buddies!

Yes, the endgame should have been an override of his veto. Now there is NO DIFFERENCE between him and Ryan when it comes to this. HE APPROVED RYANS AGENDA. Vetoing would have said that he did NOT approve. IF they couldn't override he could have said he wants a bill that has STRONG support, not a bill that is a product of special interests.

We could be totally in the dark about whats in the thing he signed. It will hash out and we will find out the details. So far everyone is reacting just the way they are supposed to.(The Dems won, we lost Trump sucks!!)

Now you know what my Southern ancestors were feeling in 1860.

You could see the President’s rage over the bill. IMO he felt the need to sign only to prepare the military for what may be looming on the horizon. I still stand with my President.

I thought Trump had a backbone and could NOT be bought off. Guess I totally misread him say he would “Make America Great Again”. What a major disappointment! He had the entire Congress and Senate by the balls and let them off the hook.

Perhaps I missed something but right now, I am totally pissed.

I am not the least bit “disappointed” as I have been expecting this all along. I love it when Trump does the right thing (judges, deregulation), but his lifelong impulses have been for big government leftism. “Let Trump be Trump” means something different to me than to his most ardent supporters. This is not Four Dimensional Chess. This is a POTUS who simply does not fundamentally share my (our?) view of a virtuous culture and a limited government of laws. He is by impulse and habit a hedonistic deal-making mortgage broker. Sometimes our objectives coincide, more often they do not.

At this point my greatest hope is that after the GOP gladly abandons its majority in the House, and any pretense of accountability and responsibility, that his contrarianism will energize him to fight the leftists harder, but I will have to see it to believe it.

I heard a bit of Trumps words on the Rush show on my short trip to the nursery to get grass seed. He sounded like someone was holding a gun to his head. Really weird.

Meanwhile, I saw this coming decades ago. I bought my 12 acres in central, rural KY two weeks before the 2008 election and moved there in 2011, from my home of over 46 years, Seattle.

We’re in bliss here, even if everything is fine. But if it isn’t, at least it will hit us a little later than the urban areas. And, at the end of the day, life is a mist. Eternity isn’t. We live for the Lord and let the chips fall where they may.

If you don’t come into these things expecting at some point or points
to be disappointed you are being naive and unrealistic.

He has eyes on way more than we do. I suspect his back was against the wall and the swamp things took advantage. I still back the President and still loath congress, especially “our” side. The scat eaters.

Well this nails the idea Trump is most likely 1 and done unless he is not impeached first by the Democrats...

thanks. Rush is saying this is the very last thing to be voted on before the mid-terms.

Come on. I find that hard to believe.

There will be other votes.

And there will be an embassy opening in Jerusalem, a soaring economy, and some great advances in technology.

This budget ain’t great, and Trump acknowledged that.

This screaming by Rush, etc. is chicken little crap.
