For EVERYTHING govt ‘has’ is a product of the work of another. What govt bestows it has taken from someone else.
YOU, or a group, wish to write a check, give voluntarily....have at it.
But there is *NOTHING* by govt that doesn’t come from being TAKEN by POWER\point of a gun.
My Late Mother used to say “You help people who can’t help themselves, not people who won’t help themselves”.
The “you” in her statement was not the Government.
I stand corrected.
There’s about 3% of the people who are on the gov’t dime who are truly needy, and should be helped. We should be the people that help them willingly instead of having the government do it for us. You are entirely correct in that.
