Groups of Palestinians in Gaza lit hundreds of tires on fire last Friday during the second weekend of a six-week-long planned protest in the border region between Israel and the coastal enclave.
The protesters lit the tires in order to blur the vision of soldiers in the region and attempt to prevent them from opening fire, according to a Gaza-based source.
“We have been informed by the Israeli side that imports of tires have been halted until further notice,” Muhammad Hamdan, a spokesman for the PA Transportation Ministry told The Jerusalem Post.
In the past week, Israeli officials have expressed considerable opposition to Palestinian protesters lighting tires on fire in the border region.

Hamdan criticized Israel’s decision to stop tire imports to Gaza, asserting that there is a shortage of tires in the coastal enclave.
“There is no doubt stopping tire imports will have a negative effect on Palestinians in Gaza especially considering there is shortage of them there,” he said. “We are going to exert all efforts so that Israel reverses its decision.”
The classic definition of chutzpah is a person who kills his parents and pleads for the court’s mercy on the ground of being an orphan. This is pretty much the same thing.
The Israelis seem to have almost infinite patience with these satanic Muslims. I don’t. And I hope the Israelis start seriously killing them back SOON. Such Dangerous Evil must be defeated and insofar as possible eliminated , not abided, subsidized, appeased, and “negotiated with!” For goodness sakes!

Israel should ban tire imports for a year, effective immediately.

Twisting and perverting language is what the left always does, look at how they do words like “liberal”, “progressive”, “undocumented”, “affordable care”... If their Orwellian tactics continue, all words will end up stinking.
I’m surprised that the Israelis haven’t set up industrial sized fans to blow the smoke back in their faces yet.
I bought a bottle of this stuff that supposed to repel critters. It is the foulest thing I’ve ever had the displeasure to take a whiff of. Like a stink-bomb on steroids. No, worse. Attach a few gallons of that to the fans, and the Palis will run away as fast as they can! It’s really bad!
Israel made a mistake by not calling itself Palestine when it was formed.
I saw some Pali being interviewed, saying that he feels like the world doesn’t care about them, that they’ve been forgotten and left to die in camps. Palestinians are blind to the fact that their own leaders are behind this. Their own leaders want them to live in squalid camps. Keeping up the fight against Israel is more important to Palestinian political leaders than working to provide better conditions for their own people. If the Palestinians in Gaza were less bellicose, they might have their own state already.
Palestinians have complete control over Gaza and have been in control of Gaza for over a decade since Sharon handed it over to them.
Since then Gaza has been showered with hundreds of billions of dollars worth of foreign aid, almost all of which has been stolen by the PLO or HAMAS to wage war on Israel
Control of Gaza is part of the POL Phased Plan For The Destruction Of Israel and the Palestinians are using Gaza as a base of operations to destroy Israel
The Palestinians have no desire for peace with Israel.
