Yep. I had a friend call me one day to go shooting. He wanted me try an AK he just bought because he thought there was something wrong with it. It was almost new, perfectly clean, and in excellent working order. Problem? It would not keep a 10” group at 100 yards. I told him the only thing wrong with it was where it was made.
He later bought either a Bulgarian or Romanian AK, I can’t remember witch, and immediately called to tell me I was right!
The Bulgarian stuff was good quality(circle 10).
East German Maks are great
Polish stuff (Circle 11) was high standard too
Romanian stuff is spotty
