Apparently they have never traveled great distances around the world. They should be required to get on a plane and travel east to west or west to east around the world and back.

They got an answer for everything. Some I think are just jerking peoples chains for their own entertainment.

In today’s Parade Magazine (it comes with the Sunday Paper), that Gal from MENZA Marilyn vos Savant is asked about the effect of the Sun Cycle on Globull Warming.

Here is the question and answer...

I have a specific question about one aspect of climate change. We know the sun is our source of energy, and that variations in solar activity have been responsible for past climate changes. But only relatively recently have we been able to measure its energy output. So how can we know that another variation is not responsible for much of the current global warming?

—Lauren Mickelson-Jones, Dallas, Texas

If increased solar activity were causing the warming, we would expect all layers of Earth’s atmosphere to be warmer. Instead, scientists have observed cooling in the upper atmosphere and warming in the lower atmosphere and at the surface of the planet.

That’s a new one...

This is what you would expect when you have a Journalism degree. Although, I doubt that Parade Magazine require Journalism degree, more than likely Dramatic Arts or Literature.

The Woman who writes the Column is a certified Genius, a MENSA Member on good standing.

It appears from doing some Internet searches, she isn’t necessarily correct in her responses on many occasions.

Mensa members do not necessarily know how the atmosphere manages to capture solar radiation and turn it into heat. Probably devilish smart but profoundly ignorant.

Funny how a period of low sun spots puts a crimp in the Globull warming deal.....

Scientists saying this Solar Grand Minimum May cause 50 years of cooler temperatures.

Maybe our grant-begging scientists will then pull out the 1975 idea (global cooling and crop failure was feared back then) of aerial dusting the polar icecaps with carbon black/ash to help warm the environment.
