The IG report will torch Comey, but it’s not all good news
Flopping Aces ^ | 05-04-18 | DrJohn

James Comey is a disgrace. Of that there is no doubt. He sees himself as the perennial boy scout who can do no wrong. He believes that something is right, justified and appropriate simply because he is the one doing it. When he leaks something it's not a leak. When he lies, it's not a lie. It's scary to think such a person could become the head of the premier law enforcement agency in the country.

The Inspector General's report is coming soon and it is expected to torch Comey:

During an interview with Bill O'Reilly on the former Fox News host's website, Davis explained why he thought Comey should have been fired by former President Barack Obama and former Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

"I was interviewed by the inspector general. I only told one reporter that and it was never written," he said. "So this is my first to say that I was interviewed after my making a phone call researching my book that I considered James Comey to have acted unethically and that he should have been fired by Barack Obama and Loretta Lynch because he violated Justice Department policies by holding a press conference and expressing his opinion publicly on the evidence."

Davis also condemned Comey, who was fired by President Trump last spring, for writing a letter to Congress saying he was reopening the investigation less than two weeks before the 2016 presidential election.

"That's a firing offense. His decision to write a letter 11 days before the election, whether it hurt Clinton or hurt Trump, was not consistent with 50 years of Justice Department policy to do nothing that might impact presidential elections," Davis argued.

An article in Time magazine goes on to confirm that:
The Justice Department’s Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, will soon release a much-anticipated assessment of Democratic and Republican charges that officials at the FBI interfered in the 2016 presidential campaign. That year-long probe, sources familiar with it tell TIME, is expected to come down particularly hard on former FBI director James Comey, who is currently on a high-profile book tour. It will likely find that Comey breached Justice Department protocols in a July 5, 2016, press conference when he criticized Hillary Clinton for using a private email server as Secretary of State even as he cleared her of any crimes, the sources say. The report is expected to also hit Comey for the way he reopened the Clinton email probe less than two weeks before the election, the sources say.
Comey had no business passing a judgment as to whether Hillary Clinton should face prosecution or not. He totally bungled the investigation. His press conference on the newfound emails eleven days before the election was an effort to cover his own ass. He officially created a two-tiered justice system- one for the Clinton's and one for the rest of us.

Comey has presided over a slew of FBI failures, including Larry Nassar, Omar Mateen and Nikolas Cruz. Comey has fashioned himself as an ignoramus.

Comey said it never occurred to him that there might be a connection between Anthony Weiner and Hillary Clinton.

How ignorant and/or stupid do you have to be to miss that? Or was it by design?

I think the author is predicting she will shriek about Comey again when the next IG installment is released.

As Obama’s FBI Director, Comey didn’t touch:
<><> Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch on the tarmac,
<><> IRS and Lois Lerner,
<><> Eric Holder and Obama’s Fast and Furious,
<><> Hillary and Benghazi,
<><> Susan Rice’s Benghazi lies,

<><> The Clintons’ Uranium 1 Deal,
<><> Hillary’s private server,
<><> Susan Rice’s Unmasking,
<><> John Podesta’s Russian deals,
<><> Huma and Cheryl Mills’ self-serving activities at State.
<><> The missing $6 billion at Hillary’s State Dept,
<><> Huma and Mills’ family pigging out at the State Dept trough,
<><> Sid Blumenthal’s haul from the State Dept,
<><>Amb Joe Wilson (Valerie Plame’s hubby) helping himself to the State Dept cookie jar,
<><> Obama’s Foundation looting State of $100 million “to teach Muslim girls in Morocco,”
<><> Secy Hillary’s Millenium Challenge Corp slush fund.
<><> Obama and Hillary’s Third World mentality-— using the govt apparat against American citizens
<><> Obama removing WH govt electronic equipment to his residence

This is my guess. The Horowitz report will echo Hillary's criticisms of Comey: (1) Comey was supposed to simply exonerate her, not give a long-winded explanation for doing so and (2) Comey was supposed to sit on the Weiner laptop Hillary emails until after the election.

I suspect those who think Horowitz will come down hard on Comey for the way he failed to properly investigate and prosecute her, i.e, not using a grand jury, letting her destroy evidence, handing out immunity like candy, etc., will be disappointed.

Yup. The one criminal referral from the IG so far was about McCabe leaking an Obama administration stand down order of a Clinton Foundation investigation. It was a leak that was harmful to the Deep State. It wasn't even about what McCabe did to Trump.

Subsequent reports will be coming out dealing with the FBI’s role (Strzok, Page, Comey, Rosenstein, McCabe) re: the phony dossier, filing a false affidavit to the FISA court etc.

Perhaps a year from now? I believe the IG investigation of the FISA abuses just began in late March.

"But this report will also breathe life into the moribund Hillary Clinton, who will stagger to her unsteady feet and once again shriek that the election was stolen from her. Just having to listen to her voice is punishment for America. "

And Lanny Davis forgot to mention that the NYPD was threatening to release the data was that McCabe, Comey’s #2 man and Clinton’s paid agent, sat on the evidence for weeks. Had Hillary’s agent not delayed the case, there would not have been a “right before the election” issue for Davis to lie and whine about.

Maybe Lanny Davis, or Lackey Davis as we here on FR like to call him. A Clinton butt boy.

Remember, the OIG’s purview is allegations of misconduct by FBI and DOJ employees. There are other ongoing investigations that are focused on other things, including the Clinton Foundation, Hillary’s private email server, etc.

The OIG report will lay the foundation for further actions by the DOJ, if warranted.

“come down hard on Comey for the way he failed to properly investigate and prosecute her“

Comey was not a prosecutor.

While it pains me to say it it would seem no one in the Trump administration is interested in doing anything about any of that crap either.

"That is good news imo. She will remind everyone again why she lost."

I'm surprised that Hillary hasn't blamed Colin Powell yet for her loss. After all, she told the FBI during her interview that it was Colin Powell who advised her to use a personal email account.

“Comey had no business passing a judgment as to whether Hillary Clinton should face prosecution”

Sessions said when heard Comey say that it hit him like a thunderclap.

“Are they also investigating Brennan?”

The Department of Justice IG only investigates within the DOJ - Comrade Brennan was in CIA.

A strong argument for the need to appoint a Special Prosecutor - the scandal and abuse crosses many Departments and Agencies (like State Department and CIA), as well as the White House.

Funny, I can remember the Scout Law word for word, but the Orders of The Sentry from Boot Camp, which I NEVER thought I would forget, evade me!

I can almost do the Manual of Arms from memory!
