It irritates me to no end.

I don’t want want hipster dickheads with their hands on the levers of power to whom following the law is far less important than letting everyone to know they listen to the Rolling Stones and are trying to be clever.

One of the things that really made me understand the full depths of douchebaggery the Clintons were plumbing was their use of the Fleetwood Mac “Don’t Stop” song.

I already disliked them at the time from what I knew of them, but there was something specific about the use of that song in that setting that made me grit my teeth, just as the “Crossfire Hurricane” thing is.

And it doesn’t have anything to do with Fleetwood Mac or The Rolling Stones, both groups of which I don’t really care much about either way.

Absolutely!! I hated that. It was so transparently part of their whole self-concept of being the young, hip, transformers of the world bs. I remember seeing tee shirts with altered photos of Bill and Gore on the front, shirtless with six-pack abs playing volleyball on the beach. Delusional morons. All of them in that crowd should have used 'You're so vain' as their song.

My personal belief is that no one should be allowed to go from any university straight into elected office until they've been filtered for at least 5 years in the private sector - where hopefully they will establish a track record, demonstrate that they know something, and hopefully learn some humility.
