My wife's best friend was a special ed teacher. Took close attention to one boy over the years. She ended up becoming his custodian after awhile. Once he was out of high school they got married. I think it lasted for 5 years. Weird.

She got attached. My GF is a surgery nurse at a swanky hospital nearby. There were stories of nurses marrying the patient and it’s not really unusual. There was even one story the wife divorced a patient while he was in surgery and he was having an affair with the nurse. Now that’s crazy and a true story.
