You DO have a point!
The Chinese have a long history of nomadic tribes who would populate an area and eat literally everything in that area they occupied until they were forced to migrate to another area where they repeated the same scenario. The Chinese will eat anything it seems.
This salamander has survived 170 million years. It has probably seen a few populations and thousands of generations of humans come and go. YET WE ARE THE ONES WHO WILL SEND IT TO EXTINCTION.
Get real man. I am sure some type of tax or fine is sure to follow.
My first thoughts too. No such thing as a living fossil.
