It would be much more clear if the original writer used the terms “Insane Crazy Democrats” and “Tactically Lying Democrats” for his two groups fighting for Tuesday’s primaries.

They BOTH want the same results, but Obola did not win by claiming he was as radical as his history and training proves him to be. They MUST lie to regain power.

Today’s insanes and crazies would give Sam Nunn and Tip O’Neal bleeding wedgies and throw them out out of their caucus.

There are many Freepers who don’t follow those precepts either.

RINOs and the media are a fact of life. There is no need to nominate someone who cannot win just because it makes you feel good.

An honest question - no flames or sarcasm intended, seriously:

Let’s say candidate A is a mainstream, “electable”, Republican, and candidate B is a “crazy” conservative Roy Moore look-alike.

Everybody says that if A wins the primary, we can win the general election. But if B wins the primary, we can’t. Seems to me that the A supporters won’t vote for B. So what makes them better than the B supporters who won’t vote for A?

I understand about “independents”, but I don’t really believe that they have as much control as they are touted to have. I truly believe that we have enough A’s and B’s to outvote the Dems, if we ALL support our candidate.

Please see my post 25. And I really do want to make this a civil back-and-forth. This is worth figuring out.

Much of the “crazy Republican” depends on how much power the Media has.

It used to have a *lot* of power. That is how they controlled the country for most of 50 years. If a candidate was unacceptable to *them* they made the candidate unacceptable to the voting public.

If the Media liked a candidate, they covered for him and spiked potential scandals.

That is rapidly changing as the Media is losing more and more credibility.

We have to be on guard so as to *not* allow the Media (and Progressives of both parties) to define what is acceptable, and what is not.

Rush is correct on his explanations of how most polls are used.

Most polls are used to shape public opinion, rather than measure it.

Looks like the Dems have slipped from Socialism to straight on Marxism if not Reformed Maoism (The most radical form of Communism). Look to see “Great Leaps Forward and Cultural Revolutions” The children will try to remake history and tear down past monuments.

True, but the problem is this: There are more voters who want vote for B than there are who won’t vote for A. Since elections have consequences, candidate A is the better choice. BTW, I held my nose and voted for Moore in the General election. Bad as he was, he wasn’t as bad as Doug Jones.

.
You’re a disgrace to Freerepublic!

Judge Moore did win the legitimate vote.

The election was stolen as usual in special elections by fraudulent votes flooding across two state lines by the busload.

Problem is one does not know just who “cannot win” until the election. Moore shot himself down by responding to the crap.

Thanks, both of you, for your replies.

I have held my nose and voted during so many elections now, it’s not shaped the same as it used to be. I’ll vote against socialists and their ilk, unless there’s something SERIOUSLY wrong with the conservative candidate. And “RINO” is getting closer and closer to socialism as the years go by...

The problem with the whole “party” thing was foreseen by none other than George Washington himself (Oh - and pay special attention to the last sentences, and think ‘Clinton/Russia’):

“...the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.”

I’m with George.

I hope you have a great holiday weekend, remembering our men and women who gave “the last full measure of devotion”.
