LED grow lights are relatively inexpensive to use.
Jalapeno peppers are NOT expensive.
HOT jalapeño peppers (red) are.
Lather, rinse, repeat with Serrano peppers.
We have a decent harvest and can gift peppers to our friends...
I believe that we save $$$ on the overall cost of veg...
I KNOW that there has not been anyone ‘dumping’ on my food.
It’s worth the small amount we pay for electricity.

I recently researched the cost of pumping real sunlight into a room indoors. Expensive maybe, $5000 to $20,000, but it would be free sunshine.
Also some grow light designs have the grow light, just inches away from the top of the plant foe maximum light.
