Have you been on CB lately? I carry my Dad’s 1975 CB radio; in case of backups on interstate it’s the only way to find out where the wreck is. In the seventies nobody used profanity & got chewed out on the air if they did.
Today? Foulest language I’ve ever heard, as the truckers complain about deadlines missed, etc. When someone comes on with a mile marker & description, it means take the next exit to anywhere. Better than sitting in traffic.
More often, traffic backed up for miles & when you reach the wreck scene, the vehicles are already cleared off the roadway & now the delay is due to rubberneckers. Geez!

Back then you didn’t hear much foul language from the “bucket mouths”, supposedly you could’ve been fined by the FCC if they caught anyone cussing. But they were good for avoiding traffic jams and also for getting directions, kinda like a primitive GPS.
