“Are you saying you’re one of the very few that believed Clapper he said, ‘No, sir. … Not wittingly.’ in answer to the question: ‘Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions, or hundreds of millions of Americans?’”

I think when Clapper lies like this with a straight face it shows his complete contempt for the American people. And that matches the unconstitutional surveillance of citizens they engage in continuously. But I also realize he felt compelled to say it also because saying otherwise would cause as much upheaval as announcing that our government has been secretly run by extraterrestrial aliens for the past century. On the other hand, I think he is far more concerned about protecting his own interests than he is about avoiding upheaval. His face reads like someone afraid he is going to prison.

But the real question is whether Trump was given special scrutiny because of an order from Obama. It’s obvious Obama didn’t like Trump speaking out on the birth certificate issue. Obama spent millions fighting to hide his past. Personally, I think he was a CIA spy and probably assassin. He gives me the vibe of someone skilled at social engineering as a means to get inside tight circles and using this to access a target to carry out some less physically-demanding method of assassination like poisoning. Obama is exceptionally skilled at hypnotic manipulation, which means he is highly trained by someone in an area for which they don’t offer degrees in at Harvard, Columbia, or Occidental.

“I expect he did long ago. By asking the DOJ/FBI to do this probe, he wants to see whether they’re going to come up with the records to which Trump knows they have access and if they don’t match what Pompeo knows, dey gonna be in rilly deeeeep dooo dooo!”

I think that’s precisely the case. Trump has a spectacular ability to root out the bad apples. He’s been outfoxing the spy agencies / deep state, perhaps with some good counsel and help from white hats.

“If Zullo’s inbox is blowing up, I have to believe it’s choristers apprising him of Trump’s tweet, in case he might have missed it. Back to sleep, Mikey!”

I have no idea whether to believe Zullo has a significant role in this. I suspect it’s much smaller than is being portrayed here.

Wittingly.

Doesn’t that pertain to what a human or group of humans know?

I submit that if millions, or hundreds of millions of Americans are monitored by AI, not by humans, then humans are not “wittingly” monitoring them.
