Several times over the years, my bank (Chase) has issued me a new credit card (Visa) for no obvious reason. “Please destroy your old card immediately and use this one instead.” I’ve always assumed it was because of some sort of massive data breach — though obviously they never mentioned that.
Was it a different card number, or the same?
