in 1958, when I was in 7th grade, I brought a rifle (bolt action Winchester 22LR) to school 2 days each week. Tuesdays we had gun safety and Thursdays we had marksmanship. On any given day at least 10% of the students were carrying firearms. And nobody ever got hurt.

I was in High School in the early 70’s, and we, too, had knives, shotguns, .22s and ‘assault fishing poles with sharp hooks’ in our cars or lockers ALL THE TIME!

We had 2 hours after school to hunt or fish before we had to be home for chores, cleaned up and ready for supper....and if you were a GIRL, you had LESS time than that because you had to be home early HELPING with supper! (Boys Suck!)

Never in a million YEARS would it have occurred to ANY of us to use ANY of our guns, knives, etc. on one another! If you had a beef with someone you wrestled or had a fist-fight.

Feckin’, 0bama! ‘They bring a knife, we bring a gun.’ Can you IMAGINE a PRESIDENT saying THAT unless you’d read it with your own lyin’ eyes? In reference to American Citizens, no less?!?! Good Lord!
