WARNING!! I just got off the phone with an old friend that still lives 20 miles South of Odessa.
Motel rooms are $480 per night. He said Tom Bodette (Motel 6) is using a searchlight. The traffic has gone back to crazy again. He has a bunkhouse built on the side of his barn he was getting $350 per week but is considering raising it.

We had oil people setting up trailers and campers in peoples yards...the wives would prepare meals as well. Everybody was making money! There simply wasn’t enough hotels etc. in my hometown.....the oil guys loved it...especially the home made meals.
By the time the work was finally completed many of the oil people remained and made my home town their home.
