I suppose it would be crazy to have someone teach text-addicted US kids to speak it...or for alleged journalists to be able to write English properly. Even printed English, not the more difficult cursive type ;-)
In another 20 or 30 years, there won’t be anybody left who can speak or write proper English. Text pidgin will be the lingua franca.
