Dope is illegal as hell under federal law which preempts state law. Why is is this lawlessness being tolerated??? CRACK DOWN WITH MILITARY! Change the law or go to prison.

Frankly if everyone involved in the production and distribution of this garbage died a miserable death, would not lose any sleep.

Marcus Aurelius, the stoic philosopher cautioned against arguing with fools. He made three points:
1) It is unbecoming and aesthetically displeasing to witness the sight of a knowledgeable, cultured person engaging a fool in public discourse.
2) There is virtually no chance that the fool has the capacity to understand or be persuaded by your arguments no matter how logical they may be.
3) There is the slight possibility that the fool may be correct and you indeed lose stature if this happens to be the case.

Discussions with proponents of marijuana, a chemical that permeates the brain, alters brain biochemistry and has been documented to do real harm, should be governed by the wisdom of Marcus Aurelius and the other stoics.

If one learns anything from stoic philosophy, it ought to be that a flawed argument or policy, however popular or superficially appealing, inherently remains bogus despite its embrace by others. A stoic is ultimately proved correct regardless of his degree of isolation or the contempt of his contemporaries.

By the way, while most decent people agree and applaud most of Mr. Trump’s policies, many do not view him a paragon of moral virtue. He is a politician.

Legalizing a drug removes the onus from its use. Drugged people tend to create social problems, and healthy societies have no more than two legal drugs.

The wide-spread use of alcohol goes back to the beginnings of Christianity in predominantly Christian countries. That’s why Prohibition was such a failure here, and it’s why we won’t get rid of alcohol in spite of the damage it does. Alcohol is far less of an issue outside of predominantly Christian nations.

We’ve attempted to stigmatize cigarettes, with some success.

Marijuana is far more carcinogenic than tobacco. Marijuana makes people dumb and lazy. Moneyed interests, including George Soros, encourage it, but it’s not good or right to do so.

For me, the best part of the article was the caption under the picture at the end...

“Samantha Miller...talks with scientist Justin Fischedick in Santa Rosa on May 30, 2018”

Poor Justin! Still chuckling.
