LA MALBAIE, Canada — As host of this year’s G7 summit, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seemed to have just one over-arching goal: to get through the gathering without U.S. President Donald Trump blasting it to pieces. Trudeau succeeded — for all of about 90 minutes.
Just an hour and a half after Trudeau finished his concluding news conference, an irate Trump tweeted that he had “instructed our U.S. reps not to endorse the Communique” and threatened to impose tariffs on automobiles. He accused Trudeau of making “false statements” to the press.
Other G7 officials said Trump was too late. The communiqué was agreed, the summit done, the leaders packing up or already gone — like Trump himself, who tweeted his fury en route to Singapore to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Technically, the others may be right. But from a political perspective, Trump’s rant — and his proven willingness to tear up international agreements — effectively rendered the leaders’ joint declaration moot.

He gave them the same answer he had for DACA, “you want amnesty” then outlined a proposal that including more than the democrats wanted and specific items that he wanted, wall, familial immigration, lottery immigration and specifically screened immigration. They balked because what they really want is an issue to hammer him with.
Same with the G7 people, “I’ll remove all tariffs and trade restrictions” - providing you remove all yours. They balked. They know that they can’t compete with a roaring U.S economy, so they do everything to make sure they come out ahead and the U.S behind in trade deficits.
Look at the picture with Merkal leaning in at the table over a sitting cross armed PDJT. Look at all the asians on Trump’s side of the table. There is a message in there. Trump has an Asian and Pac-Rim strategy that could pay off more then placating Europe and allow them to keep picking our pockets.
Other things of note: In one round table meeting, Trump sitting next to Merkel was imitating her moves and posturing. That’s so grade school it’s genius. Next is Theresa May. You hardly heard from her or about her. She’s in over her head. Way over her head and is riding the swirling vortex down the drain of British culture and society.
A world war is brewing. We better get our shipyards, steel mills and assembly lines working.
Prior to 2016, all of this fake news by CNN, WaPo, MSNBC...might have worked. Today? No one puts much regard into their presentation or ‘facts’. Once we get past 2020, and four more years of Trump...the question will be how long they can survive financially if no reads or watches their ‘brand’.

How can Trump's position on trade be anything less than free if the European Countries have trade restrictions on US Goods but we don't have restrictions on their goods?

Genius level strategy by Trump to pick away at the DSM’s credibility from Day One by branding them Fake News and doubling down on the phrase every day thereafter.
