They're Here, They're Queer, and Now They're Coming for Christians — and for Our Jobs

A handful of recent news items highlight the dangers Christians face as the moral revolution fully takes hold in America:

CrossFit executive Russell Berger was fired for tweeting that "pride" is sinful in the context of planned LGBTQ "Pride Workouts" at CrossFit gyms.

Berger tweeted: “As someone who personally believes celebrating ‘pride’ is a sin, I’d like to personally encourage #CrossFitInfiltrate for standing by their convictions and refusing to host an @indypride workout." He was referring to a CrossFit gym in Indiana that canceled the Pride event. “The intolerance of the LGBTQ ideology toward any alternative views is mind-blowing,” he added. “The tactics of some in the LGBTQ movement toward dissent is an existential threat to freedom of expression. The lack of tolerance for disagreement, which has been replaced with bullying Twitter mobs promising ‘consequences’, should be a concern regardless of your political stance.”

Berger is right, of course, but that didn't stop the New York Post from accusing him of going on a "homophobic Twitter rant." CrossFit immediately distanced itself from Berger's tweets and fired him on Wednesday. CrossFit CEO Greg Glassman told BuzzFeed News, “He needs to take a big dose of ‘shut the f–k up’ and hide out for awhile. We do so much good work with such pure hearts — to have some zealot in his off-time do something this stupid, we’re all upset.” Note the harsh language used. Glassman didn't just say something corporate like, "his comments are a distraction" or "his comments have no place at CrossFit" — he told Berger to "shut the f—k up."

The mind can also only focus on one thing at all and to try and do three types of movements contained in one, only confuses the brain and results in less effective training.

Excellent point. I'm going to use that in the future. Thanks!

Ronald Reagan did not want the antisodomy laws repealed for the reasons you stated. He knew it would lead to Pandora’s Box being opened for all kinds of sexual and societal insanity.

Don’t ever doubt the psychopathic nature of this alliance of sex offenders. The top three serial killers of little boys have all been male queers. Jeff Dahmer even cannibalized them. Should we really call them gay?

Just like racism, if someone had reacted like that against a gay person, firing them from their job, all heck would have broken loose.

So true. See the Niggardly Affair. BTW it means miserly and has nothing to do with race.

Their goal is to turn freedom of religion into freedom of worship.

Freedom of religion within the walls of the church only, not in the public square.

Sue this guy out of business. Meanwhile, Satan is in charge of corporate America at the moment. So many companies are doing his bidding that he can sit back and just smile.

Anyone venture to guess what the Crossfit CEO would say about protesting NFL players?

Their pride marches are a supremacist movement. They want the public to bow before them.

Their are large gay “pride” flags hanging at my corporate office in common areas (major computer company).

Never any other flags hanging publicly.

When they claimed that they were persecuted by unfair laws, they still publicly held gay pride celebrations without police arrest.

This was for decades.

This started happening in the 70s and 80s

They went after Anita Bryant.

Then there was a woman who was speaking out in the early nineties in her hometown, defended by ACLJ because they went after her husbands job by picketing her work to force her to shut up.

These days she would be hauled up in front of her state’s human rights tribunals and be fined into pauperdom.

It did not start with acceptance of the lifestyle in the public sphere.

It started with acceptance of the very term homosexual as a legitimate descriptor of the behavior as though it were inherent and legitimate.

There is no such thing as a functional type of sexuality between two members of the same sex.

Sexuality begins and ends with procreative function as the defining characteristic. Scientists not that long ago asserted that fact with an arrogant dismissal of such ancillary aspects as emotional love, saying that all the genetic world cared about was spreading the genes in the greater pool, and that so-called love was just an illusory inducement toward that objective. (I started as a Zoology Major, and I heard such condescending lectures myself.)

Now the communist phony scientists insist that homosexual love is real and binary sexuality is fake.

The correct descriptor is homoeroticism: erotically intimate activity - not identity - between two members of the same sex.

For most of human history, this aberration was viewed as just a result of erotic excess - eroded moral and personal barriers - not as an independent, functional identity.

As usual with conservatives, we allowed the atheist, amoral leftists to define the terms at the start of the debate. Now many conservatives and Christians accept that homosexuality is a real thing, whether it is morally acceptable or not.

Humans are described as mammals - creatures with a female sex (not gender) endowed with mammary glands - hence the terms of mammy and mommy - to feed the newborn young. What is next, allowing the leftists to define reptiles as mammals just to satisfy some bestial fetish?

Sex is binary, and sexuality is defined by heterosexual procreation. Period.

Take back the English language or face defeat.

J. R. R. Tolkien, an actual philologist, uses the word niggard in The Return of the King (Aragorn addressing Eomer).

He would be fired today from an American university for being an educated scholar of the English language.

The great majority are leftists at heart: They infiltrate and subvert.

I have essentially given up my avocation as a chorister because they have taken over all the choirs and turned them into advocacy platforms for the lifestyle. Just being in such a choir requires not only tolerance but approval. They absolutely do not live and let live.

The twisted irony is that many of the high-end choirs in which I have sung the singers still treasure the splendor of the sacred music of Western Civilization: They recognize its transcendent, spiritual beauty while rejecting its raison d’etre.

I concur, except see Post 33 on the term homosexual.

There is a reason that sexual perversion (which is not a valid expression of sexuality) is an especially serious sin. It has nothing to do with prudery; it has everything to do with its fundamental effect on the soul and spirit.

It is primitive and foundational to being a functional human being. (I am not speaking of being sexually active, but of recognizing the proper place of sexuality in Creation.)

That goes for celibate priests as well: I question the allowance of those who harbor such desires as being fit to act as spiritual leaders to anyone. If they abstain, then by all means they should be accepted in the church as members, but they should not be trusted with guiding others. It is dangerous for those under their authority, and a needless temptation to them.

Berger was absolutely correct.

Note how leftists - which is what by far most homoerotic activists are - appropriate a word and then pervert it: pride; gay; rainbow.

God spelled that out very well in 1 Timothy 3:2. I do not understand how a man who never had a wife or children can actually understand, or minister to, the trials of a man who supports and raises both.

I do not watch movies much, but the eulogy for Walt Kowalski by Father Janovich did have a few moments.
