“Stolen” gift cards are a popular scam. They’re going to be more on guard for that. Amazon’s always been good to me. Had a package with about a dozen things get horribly abused by UPS, about 1/3 of the items missing, half the rest damaged. I e-mailed Amazon prepared to go through the lost and damaged list, they said don’t worry about it and resent the whole thing. Free Christmas presents.
That reminds me of the time I had ordered some cheese and other items, and the box was damaged in shipping. They called me and offered to replace the box and everything in it, which had not been delivered yet. I asked if all the items were present—they were—so I told them I would accept the box.
I had forgotten all about that. It happened about 20 years ago.
