Mr. DeNiro’s problem is that he’s priced himself out of the market. His talents aren’t worth what he demands for a role. He could reduce his ask and get more movies that Brian Dennehy in the 90s. He will tell you that he carefully selects the roles he takes, but the hard cold facts are that he’s just too expensive at his age. And he surround himself with syncophants (almost all celebrities do) that would never tell him different.

He’s angry that President Trump’s Administration is doing things O’Vomit could only wish he could do. And he’s not otherwise employed, so he’s got tons of free time on his hands.

When the Holllywood “elite” figure out that the only public statements they should make us about their craft, the better off they’ll be. Until then, it’s great entertainment and above average comedy to watch them work themselves into a lather over how bad President Trump is. But in November 2020, people will vote their pocketbooks.

And you don’t have to have a SAG-AFTRA card to figure that one out.

Yeah, I agree but I don’t know what he thinks he is worth. But, he’s part of a crowd that invested a lot of hate in Trump and that’s going to hurt him. The more you invest in unreality the worst the pain when it slaps back and hits you. He could change but he’s clinging on to willful stupidity.

Another possibility — a long shot — is that he actually agrees with Trump but is acting in front of these people, acting like one of them in order to keep the gravy train flowing. The audience is getting something they never dreamed: an actor who pretends to be real to them.
