It does sound kind of warm and fuzzy, a bit like "I have returned ... with peace for our time."
So the only difference between North Korea and let's say, Cuba or Venezuela (or pick some other "s***hole country") is that Kim Jong-un has tested nukes and delivery system(s) and is well aware of "Libya protocol" and "security promises"?
Wasn't Obama trying this kind of "sale presentation / experiment" with Cuba's dictators recently, i.e., beaches, rum, travel / tourism, hotels, internet, meeellions / beeellions in trade, peace and prosperity?
Isn't something similar — a bait of "[permanent] land for [temporary] peace" — kept being tried with Israel?
Maybe, with all the glitter and confetti, less than meets the eye...?
