What if American slavery hadn't occurred?

What if, at the outset of the Founding, an amendment was written that abolished all slavery.

What would have happened to blacks today and their ancestors?

I'll tell you what would have happened.

They would have been mauled to death by animal predators in the African jungles.
Died of disease or starvation.
Killed by other rival African tribes.
Enslaved by other Africans or Middle Easterners.

Not defending slavery. It was evil and wrong. But can blacks say that they are better off here in America than if it hadn't happened?

There wouldn’t be the white guilt clowns and we wouldn’t have had to prop a race up for several decades.

The cotton gin, the McCormick reaper, etc. would probably have been invented sooner. Necessity is indeed the mother of invention.
